Here I am in Italy and its pouring with rain, good chance to email friends and family and look at big footy to see how my beloved bulldogs are travelling.... Why not go down to limbo and read some funny shit while im at it.....

But, alas, where is the funny shit that used to make that site so unique and funny. What I am greeted with is some of the most abhorent shit that has ever graced my eyes..... What the fuck has happened to you lot???

BFìs limbo club used to be full of witty intelligent posters taking the piss and turning threads inside out with really smart and sharp humour, somewhere to go and escape from work and just laugh, but its not that way anymore, it seems that everybody wants to be a keyboard cowboy and fight wars sitting at a desk... fucking cowards.

Its seems limbo club has finally died!!

Chief, you start a site, supposedly to make the limbo club more adult, yet keep it in the same spirit. All its become is a rival to another site where yoiu banned everyone and called them brainless, now your propagating the same thing.

There is only one Acsorre! Its is cool for what it is, abunch of young dudes taking the piss and having a laugh, some foul (yet funny) shit, but all in the name of having a laugh, no more, no less, I am at a loss to try and fathom what Ive read in the last 20 minutes.

Posting people's real names, that are given in total confidence, posting PM's, talking about harm to children, which I work with and none of you have a fucking clue about, the ramifications behind it and the true serious nature of what is being spoken about, yet its allowed to stay (WTF)!!!!!! personal Abuse that is so tasteless, its not even humorous.

There are posters in here that I have so much respect for and even they are stooping to levels which I thought were beyond them.

I was asked to post my stories on this site before it came to be as a way to get people to come and have a laugh and post where it can be a bit more adult, yet all it has turned out to be is a really nasty coward vendetta version hacksawe....d,

Haiiicsore do it best because its always about fun and not taking it serious, at least thats what it was about.

As a place that was created to have fun and have a laugh is now dead, all it has become is a venting mechanism for people who are too afraid to use useful channels to vent... so the dog is dead also. This is the last time I will ever post on this site or Bigfooty.

Given what I have just read on the other board, I have decided that I will never post on these boards ever again. Limbo club used to be about something else, something unique, a place to really have fun use your brains and roll around on the floor laughing. Now all I read is people seriously hating on eachother from behind a desk and posting peoples real names and saying some really dangerous shit, I mean really dangerous shit. I do not want to be associated with this anymore, so I have decided not to post here or on BF ever again.

IOm not sure what's happened, but its no longer any fun and that is the whole entire reason I ever became involved, was to laugh and make peole laugh....

The site was created to give TLC members a venue where they don't have to worry about the restrictions on BF.

The Drunk Tank was created as a place where people could have less structured discussions - a TLC board for limboclub.com if you like.

When it became apparent that a number of people were simply using this new board to spam and settle old scores TDT became the repository for the flamewars.

But of course we have a water-on-an-oil-fire situation with people perceiving the site as an "anything goes" place where they can go mental like they would like to on BF. Did I discourage this? Not so much. The site is only 8 days old so you have to let people work out how they want to use the site.

The events of the last day or so have shown me, and you Dog and no doubt may others, where the site probably SHOULDN'T go.

The question is, how do you give people free reign, but keep it controlled so it doesn't descend into chaos? What level of control is the right level?

It's new ground for me and the other mods on here, having spent our entire modding days in an environment where there was a particular structure from day one.

I agree with your main points. Still we are walking this line trying to work out how to let people talk like adults and not be so restrictive that the site doesn't grow and become a place the TLC community feels comfortable.

Clamp down from day one and the community thinks "why bother moving? same shit different URL." Let it go mad and the gap between TLC and TLC.com is too wide for people to make the jump.
