And Gareth Southgate looking bemused at every post match press conference.

It's pretty obvious we're winning the Premiership this year. All I can really get out of this is hope that Newcastle get relegated. Will start off a massive firesale on the transfer market.
If we lose Tevez, Owen coming off the bench wouldn't be the worst of ideas.

They hate his guts up there anyway, don't they? Bit like Harry Kewell at Liverpool.

lol. owen is useless and barely worth a packet of crisps these days anyway.
the fact no-one triggered his sliding transfer clause in the last summer window - down to just £7m from memory - speaks volumes. he can fuck off to wigan or wolves.

I'd take Owen if a) he came ridiculously cheap (which he will) and b) Tevez leaves. Otherwise, yes, he can fuck off to Wigan.
In theory, him coming off the bench for 10 minutes is better value than Welbeck, Manucho, and possibly even Campbell.

I'd definitely take Welbeck or Campbell over Owen.
Anyway we don't need him when we have Macheda.

Reckon Welbeck needs a season long loan at a lower ranked EPL team. Seems to dominate in the Carling Cup against the minnows, and goes missing against anyone in the top half of the league.
Campbell has potential definitely, but reckon it'll be a few years before we start to see the full extent of it. His loan at Spurs was a massive waste of time.
Completely forgot about Macheda too.

LondonCalling

I don't think he's that bad TBH. I just don't think the price tag will match the value I see in him, and they'll probably want 10 mill for him.
Besides, we're as close as it gets to having the perfect team at the moment. Phillip Lahm would be nice, but otherwise, I'm pretty happy.

Fifty thousand voices sing our song

We're on the road to glory now
Winning at home and away
Come on you reds, come on you reds

He's out of a contract at the end of the season so you can get him for free, he's still not worth it.
No suprise that you have no idea though, being a United 'supporter' and all.
Curtis Stone
19th May 2009, 08:53
If you had to pick either Owen or Viduka, you'd pick neither. Any wonder they are going to get relegated.
Viduka only plays well when it's contract time then goes missing for the rest of the season. Owen on the other hand is just past it. I mean, if you can't get a start in the current Toon forward setup there's something seriously wrong.

Going to Everton after his career at Liverpool is something Owen would do. He won't move to Celtic on a 50k per week contract. Will probally go to Citeh on a contract the same size as his current one.
The bloke won't take a pay cut.

Given that Man City will go after everyone half decent, I hope he ends up there, if only for the ensuing amount of knockbacks they'll receive in the process.

City will not buy him. They will waste a lot of money but buying Owen will not be part of that.
He has to take a pay cut only way he won't is by going to America assuming he is a big enough name over there. We would only offer him 50k a week imo but he definately wouldn't taken that.

Put on a turn to go there and he'll be squeezed to the reserves permanently by the end of summer transfers.

That useless cunt will be gone by christmas next season as Hull have failed to win a single game and are sitting on a total of 4 points. He guided them to 1 win in the last 22.

They did have a fairly entertaining run at the start. Probably better to play half a season than be shit for the full one. They pushed big clubs, and should have cleaned up Liverpool at Anfield. Mendy was destroying them down the right, until McShane had to go off and Mendy had to go to right back. That's when Liverpool got back in.
Let's be honest, for bums like Hull, success is staying up. You're right though they have to improve big time next season.
