Not really impressed with the O2 Atom smartphone. We have four in our office, and three have had to be returned to be fixed. One came back with someone else's photos on it.
Pros:
Connects to just about anything with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPRS/GSM, Quad Band (850/900/1800/1900MHz).
Mini SD card slot - I have 1GB in mine and fit in a fair few MP3s and files.
Small for such a full-featured PDA phone.
Lots of bits like the media player, photo organiser and even a photo editor.
Good battery life for a phone with such a large screen.
Built in FM radio.
All the Windows Pocket PC stuff like syncing with outlook and so on.
Cons:
Small so most operations require you to pull the stylus out instead of just tapping with your fingernail.
Battery cover falls off at the drop of a smartphone.
Buggy - don't pull out the headphones while the radio is playing, or at least don't do it after your warranty has expired.
O2 SMS Plus is rubbish, ignore it.
Screen is impossible to read in any kind of direct sunlight.
No speakerphone - I mean WTF is this a business phone or what?
Headphones are rubbish - pop out of your ears at the slightest nudge.
Camera is sub-standard. 2.0 megapixels but surprisingly bad pictures, specially when zoomed.
Expensive considering the number of Cons.
Recommendation:
Buy something else. For something this expensive you're flushing money down the toilet. Harvey Norman now refuse to stock them as they are returned so often.
